My Wellbeing Journey - Mentoring Project

new oportunities 13

My Wellbeing Journey which offers people in Kensington & Chelsea with mental health needs, physical disabilities or learning difficulties the opportunity to access a personal mentor.

Mentees will be matched with our trained Volunteer Mentors to embark on a journey of self-discovery, with a focus on their individual wellbeing journey, personal development, goal setting, increasing skills, access to training, social activities, volunteering or employment support.

Mentees will be supported and guided by their personal Volunteer Mentor, who will be able to offer their skills and knowledge to mentees throughout their journey over 10 weekly sessions.

The mentor can support the mentee to:

  • Develop new skills
  • Make new friends
  • Start volunteering, helping their community
  • Improve their confidence and self-esteem
  • Set goals and work towards achievements
  • Improve overall wellbeing

 The mentor will benefit from:

  • Work experience with people with mental health needs, learning difficulties or physical disabilities
  • Sharing skills and knowledge with others
  • Building confidence
  • Meeting new people
  • Making new connections within the community
